The Water-Moon Dharma Center at the Dharma Drum Mountain Nung Chan Monastery in Beitou was built in the modern minimalist architectural style. It\u2019s a popular place with tourists, featuring an attractive, mirrorlike pool in front of the grand hall, reflecting clouds, sky, and the pavilion behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Taiwan Folk Arts Museum<\/span><\/p>\n

The Taiwan Folk Arts Museum is located in a Japanese occupation era building formerly used as the upscale Koyama Hotel and hot spring. Designated as a Taipei historic site, the two-floor wooden structure covers an area of about 2,645 square meters. The Japanese-style courtyard is elegantly landscaped, with a small bridge, stream, artificial mountain and pine trees. The building is especially evident beautiful illuminated at night.<\/p>\n

During World War II, the building was used as a Japanese officers’ club. After the war, it was used as an official guesthouse and later it was sold to a private buyer. The building also has been featured in many local movies.<\/p>\n

The museum exhibits include a permanent display on the history of the museum building as well as various theme exhibits. The displays provide a cultural complement to the seasonal natural beauty of the museum setting. On the second floor, visitors can also enjoy Japanese tea ceremony demonstrations and other artistic performances. The space can also be rented for dinner banquets.<\/p>\n

National Palace Museum collects about 620,000 Chinese treasures, covering 5,000-year historical development from the Neolithic Age to Chin Dynasty, and is one of the first four museums in the world. In the three-story exhibition halls, the exhibits are classified on the basis of themes, such as Bronze, Pottery & Porcelain, Paintings, Carvings and Jade.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

New Taipei City Gold Museum<\/span><\/p>\n

Located in the Gold ecological Park, New Taipei City (Taipei County)’s Jinguashi, Jiufen, the Museum of Gold was opened during year 2004 as one of the\u00a0first museum planned as an eco-museum in the island. The aim is to combine community power and preserve the precious natural resources, mining relics, landscape, historical memories and cultural property of Jinguashi. In 2002, Jinguashi was named a potential world heritage site.<\/p>\n

Jiufen-historical Town<\/span><\/p>\n

Located in New Taipei City (Taipei County), Chiufen village used to be the center of gold mining. This small village is located within hills, next to the mountains, and facing the ocean. Due to its special location, Chiufen village is well known for its foggy weather condition which creates a romantic atmosphere. The name Chiufen comes from a legend where nine families used to live in this village. Before the development of Chiufen, there was a lack of transportation which made trips to the market inconvenient. Therefore, whenever one family goes grocery shopping at the market, they would be divided what they have bought into nine pieces for each of the families. \u201cChiufen\u201d literally means \u201cnine pieces\u201d in Mandarin, and this is how the village name came from.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

Juming Museum<\/span><\/p>\n

Ju Ming, originally named Ju Chuan-Tai, is an internationally renowned master sculptor. In the beginning, this was not a museum, but rather a storage space for his large sculptures. Inspired by the natural surroundings of Jinshan, Ju Ming decided this would be an ideal setting for an art park. Juming Museum doesn’t just display his unique works of art, but also serves as a venue for the cultivation of artists’ creativity.<\/p>\n

The museum occupies a total of 11 hectares, and its outdoor exhibition space is divided into Taichi Plaza, Human World Square and Sport Square. Juming\u2019s work in the museum can be ascribed to several series: the Nativist Series, Taichi Series, and Living World Series. Each series reflects the core values of the master\u2019s attitude toward his life and his art. Those sculptures of his Taichi series displayed in the Taichi Plaza are regarded as the best and the most famous of his work. The building of the museum is like a pyramid, a work of art in itself, displaying his indoor pieces of woodcarving and pottery as well as works by his mentors.<\/p>\n

Situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Beitou, le Centre Dharma Drum Mountain du Monast\u00e8re Nung Chan a \u00e9t\u00e9 construit dans une architecture de style minimaliste moderne. Mus\u00e9e des Arts Populaires de Ta\u00efwan (Taiwan Folk Arts Museum)<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Le Mus\u00e9e des Arts Populaires de Ta\u00efwan est situ\u00e9 dans un \u00e9difice construit durant l\u2019occupation japonaise, autrefois exploit\u00e9 par l\u2019h\u00f4tel de luxe Koyama et utilis\u00e9 pour ses sources chaudes. Inscrite aux monuments historiques de Taipei, la structure de deux \u00e9tages en bois couvre une surface d\u2019environ 2'645 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s. La cour int\u00e9rieure de style japonais est \u00e9l\u00e9gamment am\u00e9nag\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un petit pont, un cours d\u2019eau, une montagne artificielle et des pins. Le b\u00e2timent est \u00e0 son meilleur avantage lorsqu\u2019il est \u00e9clair\u00e9 de nuit.<\/p>\r\n

Pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, l'\u00e9difice a \u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0r\u00e9quisitionn\u00e9 par l'arm\u00e9e japonaise pour servir de club \u00e0 ses\u00a0officiers. Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Or de New Taipei City (New Taipei City Gold Museum)<\/span>

Situ\u00e9 dans le Parc \u00c9cologique de l\u2019Or (Gold Ecological Park) \u00e0 Jinguashi, le Mus\u00e9e de l\u2019Or a ouvert ses portes en 2004 en tant que premier \u00e9co-mus\u00e9e de Taipei. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour associer les \u00e9nergies locales et pr\u00e9server les pr\u00e9cieuses ressources naturelles, les vestiges de l\u2019exploitation mini\u00e8re, le paysage, les m\u00e9moires historiques et le patrimoine culturel de Jinguashi. En 2002, le site de Jinguashi a \u00e9t\u00e9 pressenti pour \u00eatre inscrit au patrimoine mondial de l\u2019Unesco.<\/p>\r\n

Situ\u00e9e \u00e0 New Taipei City (Cont\u00e9 de Taipei), le village de Chiufen \u00e9tait autrefois le centre de l\u2019exploitation aurif\u00e8re locale. Ce petit village nich\u00e9 dans les collines se situe \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de la dorsale montagneuse de l\u2019\u00eele, face \u00e0 l\u2019oc\u00e9an. Une localisation propice au temps brumeux, qui conf\u00e8re au village une atmosph\u00e8re romantique pour laquelle il est c\u00e9l\u00e8bre. Le nom de Chiufen tire son origine d\u2019une l\u00e9gende selon laquelle neuf familles habitaient autrefois le village. Avant qu\u2019il ne se d\u00e9veloppe, les conditions de transport ne permettaient pas de se rendre facilement au march\u00e9. Ainsi, chaque fois qu\u2019une famille en revenait charg\u00e9e de provisions, les achats \u00e9taient divis\u00e9s en neuf parts, une pour chaque famille. \u00ab\u00a0Chiufen\u00a0\u00bb signifie litt\u00e9ralement

Mus\u00e9e de Juming<\/span>
Ju Ming, n\u00e9 Ju Chuan-Tai, est un ma\u00eetre sculpteur de renomm\u00e9e internationale. Ce qui est devenu un mus\u00e9e \u00e9tait, \u00e0 l\u2019origine, un espace d\u2019entreposage pour ses sculptures de grande taille. Trouvant son inspiration dans la campagne alentour de Jinshan, Ju Ming y a vu un emplacement id\u00e9al pour cr\u00e9er un parc de sculptures. Outre un espace d\u2019exposition de ses \u0153uvres uniques, le Mus\u00e9e de Juming est \u00e9galement un lieu de c\u00e9l\u00e9bration de la cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 artistique.<\/p>\r\n

Le Mus\u00e9e occupe un terrain de 11 ha. Ses espaces d\u2019exposition ext\u00e9rieurs sont divis\u00e9s en trois, avec le Taichi Plaza, le Human World Square et le Sport Square. Le travail de Juming expos\u00e9 dans le mus\u00e9e rel\u00e8vent de plusieurs s\u00e9ries\u00a0: Nativiste, Taichi et Living World. Chaque s\u00e9rie refl\u00e8te les valeurs fondamentales de la conception que cet artiste remarquable a de sa vie et de son propre art. Les sculptures de la s\u00e9rie Taichi, expos\u00e9es \u00e0 Taichi Plaza, sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme les meilleures et les plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bres de ses \u0153uvres. L\u2019\u00e9difice du Mus\u00e9e ressemble \u00e0 une pyramide.
